My thoughts: I was really excited when I first heard about this foundation and all the hype, but I was disappointed. It is Light coverage at best. It doesn't really cover anything. This foundation is made for those who are blessed with near perfect skin...as in no acne, no post acne scaring. If you have an uneven skin tone, then yes, this foundation will do the trick and help even it out, otherwise, forget it. This reminds me of a tinted moisturizer.
I have never had good luck in terms of shade selection with Maybelline. Its either too dark, too light or too pink. They hardly make any foundations that have a yellow toned to it...much less yellow toned foundation for light skinned girls, like us NC25'ers :)
Furthermore, since my skin isnt perfect and the shade didn't match, I will not buy this again. Waste of money.
Compared to NC25: I got this in 210. It is slightly too light. The next shade up (220) is a little too dark. Wish they made 215 :) Then it would be perfect.

Aw that's a shame that fit isn't very good... Great review, thank you! I'll never request maybelline again...I feel bad that it didn't work out! :(

ReplyDeleteHere in Europe Maybelline´s mineral liquid foundation "Ivory" shade is rather yellow toned. It matches my skin tone (NC20-25).

Yes, that´s it! It would be great, because choosing the right colour of foundation can be so tricky..And it´s such a waste to buy the wrong colours.. We all have a box with our make-up mistakes.. for instance, last week I bought loreal´s lumi magic n3, and it was very close, but not a perfect match :( (perfect yellow but a little dark)...and so,the list would be very helpfull to avoid buying the wrong color of foundation. I will be happy to send a list of my (european) foundation swatches. I´m sure I´m not the only european follower :) Thank you. Sara
