Clarisonic Mia vs Olay Professional Pro-X Advanced Cleansing System
Justa quick first impression review and comparision of the Clarisonic and Olay Professional Pro-X Advanced Cleansing System.
Is Olay Comparable to Clarisonic? I am going to start with the question most people want to know and the answer is NO! It is definedly NOT similar at all. Why? See differences.
Differences: The mechanism is completely different. In the Olay version, the brush head just rotates. The Clarisonic oscillates, which I believe is key to getting the results associated with the Clarisonic. The brush head of the Clarisonic is softer than the Olay but that didnt bother me. After cleaning my face with Olay, i still had residual makeup left over.
Similarities: Both will clean your face, but if you are looking for the amazing results associated with Clarisonic, the Olay product will definitely NOT give you those.
My take on the Clarisonic: As soon as I turned it on, I could tell the difference between the Olay and this. Night and Day! I used my favorite cleanser (Olay Regenerist). The timer automatically goes off at 1 minute, but i do it for 2, concentrating on the areas i have post acne scars.
After I was done, i just dried by face and just went downstairs. My mom instantly knew the difference! She thought I had makeup on of some kind, covering my scars. I didnt even put lotion on! She said my face is lighter (as in skin tone), brighter/radiant and as if my scars were 50% down in pigmentation! Amazing! She didnt say anything when I used my Olay system yesterday.

Disclaimer: I just want to let you know that in no way shape or form am I saying the Olay is a bad company. I love their stuff and have been using it for years! I trust their products completely. I only wish the brush was oscillating. I also buy everything with my own money.

ReplyDeleteSo you are saying that the Clarisonic is definitely better than the Olay Pro-X? I can't decide which to buy! Is the Clarisonic better than the Olay for reducing acne? And which is better at reducing pore size? Do you find that either of them gives you a nice "glowy" face? Which would you recommend I buy? Thank you!!! :)
ReplyDeleteNo. What I am saying is that Olay's version is NOT the same as the Clarisonic, Pretika and Nutra Sonic. Therefore, it will not give you the same results, because Olay's mechanism is rotation, whereas the others are oscillation. They are VERY different.
ReplyDeleteIF you want a cheaper alternative to Clarisonic, buy Nutra SOnic. Thats the one I have for over a year and couldnt be happier.
